W7k Tools - Boxer 1.1
Have you ever wanted to share your 3D view in Revit with someone?
As part of the coordination process, I often find myself needing to send a specific view to a colleague or consultant in Revit. While shared views offer a robust solution, they’re often overkill for simple tasks. Most of the time, people resort to sending just screenshots. It leads to a confusion and wastes time while we try to explain/understand where the elements that need adjustment are located.
That got me thinking: what if I could also send the information about the section box as plain text - something lightweight that I could drop into an email or a Teams message?
So, I created two scripts that let you send and receive section boxes between Revit users. Just copy-paste, send, receive and copy-paste. Hard to make it simpler.
These scripts even work across multiple linked files (as long as they’re linked by base points).
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
How do you share views within your teams or with external consultants?
Would something like this improve your workflow? How can I make it even better?
The tool is part of my paid app, Boxer, but those 2 scripts are free. Feel free to download the trial version and keep using it even after 30 days trial ends.
